We are selling this beautiful French Terra Cotta of Venus. This well modeled Venus is well done and is after the famous model by Jean-Baptiste Pigalle. The terracotta is quickly and simply modeled and rendered and possibly a study or studio example. Probably early 19th century, unsigned.
Condition: Good antique condition. Damage with restoration to the bird’s wing. Crack in the arm. General age wear and discolorations to the clay.
