This rare and one-of-a-kind “Nobody’s Perfect” chair, designed by Gaetano Pesce and manufactured by Zerodesigno, Italy, in 2007, is a striking example of postmodern functional art. Part of a limited series of anthropomorphic chairs, each piece in this collection possesses unique characteristics, molded individually by different artisans. As a result, no two chairs are ever the same, making each one an exceptional collector’s item. The title “Nobody’s Perfect” reflects Pesce’s philosophy, embracing imperfection as an essential and beautiful aspect of design. This chair, like many of his works, challenges the boundaries between art, sculpture, and furniture, elevating an everyday object into a statement piece. Molded from Pesce’s signature polychrome resin and finished with nylon nails, our version stands out with its stunning metallic salmon, silver, and green tones. A true testament to Pesce’s visionary approach, this chair balances delicacy with functionality. Despite its sculptural appearance, it remains in excellent condition, with no cracks and a clean, original finish. This particular example is signed and dated on the chair, embossed with the maker’s mark, and numbered 523. Originally designed in 2002, it was produced in 2007, showcasing the timeless nature of Pesce’s designs. Since Gaetano Pesce’s passing in 2024, interest in his work has surged, with collectors increasingly recognizing his furniture as sculptural masterpieces. As each chair in this series was crafted according to the artisan’s individual vision, some versions are more visually striking than others, making this particular piece a standout example. Given its rarity, unique colorway, and pristine condition, this chair is not just an avant-garde design object but also a highly desirable investment piece that will continue to appreciate in value. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
