Stunning pair of extra large opaline glass wall lights/sconces designed by Wilhelm Wagenfeld for Peill & Putzler (Germany, 1950s). Rare Magna/2685 model. Opaline glass shades with metal bases. Beautiful minimalist design & high quality. They create a beautiful atmosphere.
Wilhelm Wagenfeld was an important pioneer of modernist design. His timelessly simple designs are internationally recognized and have received many awards. A museum dedicated to Wagenfeld’s works as well as a design school named in his honor have been created in his hometown of Bremen.
Rewired (hardwired) and ready to use (US compatible). Each wall light requires 1x E26 light bulb. LED compatible. Height: 14.8''; width: 6.3'' (at top), 4.3'' (at bottom); depth (from wall): 4.3'' (at top), 3.1'' (at bottom). Very good vintage condition. Light wear consistent with age and use.
