A fine Art Deco brass cigar box decorated with an engraved image by Rockwell Kent (1882-1971), early 20th c. American Modernist.
Very rare object with one of Kent's finest graphic images. Brass body with intaglio etched lid; wood lining.
The image depicts "Sally", Kent's wife. Designed in 1928 for A.G. Spalding & Bros., 520 Fifth Avenue, and executed by Chase Brass.
Marked "A.G. Spalding & Bros" on front rim and "EPCO" on back rim. Measures 7 1/8" x 5 1/2" x 2". Good overall condition.
