Harriet Bauknight designed this spectacular acrylic resin (Lucite) brooch for Kaso in the 1980s. The geometric "comma" shape is carved and has a frosted texture. The rare brooch features a multilayered, laminated design in orange, yellow, green, purple, and blue on a black background. No designer signature is visible, but the style and multi-layer technique are the brand's unmistakable signature.
Harriet Bauknight is an American fashion designer who worked under Kaso in the 1980s and 1990s. She is well-known for her extravagant, jeweled Lucite handbags and accessories.
