The piece features an asymmetric … Read more Missoni Italy created this incredible couture choker necklace for its ready-to-wear spring 2014 runway show. The piece features an asymmetric shape, built with a gunmetal rigid band, complemented by a black-and-white Lucite (or PVC) band carved with Missoni's stylized name. The choker shape is rigid and articulated, with a hinge on the band and a hook on the plastron to open and close the necklace.
About the spring 2014 collection, Vogue said:
"With the explosive crash of waves on rocks, the Missoni show today launched into a meditation on the elements—earth, air, fire, and water. So the classic Missoni chevron was reinterpreted as waves or birds —the way you drew them when you were a kid. The family name was also reconfigured in a black-and-white, semi-African pattern laser-cut out of PVC and applied everywhere as an artful exercise of logomania."

The necklace is in excellent condition, with minimal wear on the metal, which does not significantly affect the overall appearance. It will be delivered in its original branded gift box.
Measurements: The inner circumference is 19.32 in long (49 cm), and the width is 1.57 in (4 cm). The opening is wide enough to make putting the necklace on and off easy. In short, it will fit most average-sized necks.
