This wrought iron mirror is styled in the manner of the preeminent metalworker of the Art Deco period Edgar Brandt (1880–1960) who was credited with transforming wrought iron into a sophisticated art form.
This design features a distinctive geometric, hexagonal shape for the mirror glass, surrounded by an ornate, hand-hammered wrought iron frame with intricate scrollwork and textured details. This type of detailed metalwork was a hallmark of the French Art Deco period in the 1920s and 1930s.
