Executed in oak, the ensemble reflects the bold, sculptural character of 17th century French design while offering the comfort and durability of more recent craftsmanship.
Each chair features a tall, shaped back and a wide and deep seat. The scrolled arms on the two host chairs are generously proportioned with rounded handgrips, adding presence at the head of the table. The chairs stand on robust, curving legs joined by traditional H-form stretchers with a shaped front stretcher, reinforcing both structure and period-inspired detailing.
The seats and backs are upholstered in a finely patterned floral fabric in soft tones of cream, rose, and muted green, complementing the warm oak finish. The cushions are thick and comfortable, resting neatly within the upholstered frames and edged with coordinating nailhead trim. A maker’s plaque reading “Collection Reproductions” is affixed beneath the seat, confirming late 20th century production.
The set is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use. Frames are sturdy, upholstery remains clean and well preserved, and the finish displays a rich, warm tone throughout.
