The lighter wood of the lattice gains extra depth from the dark, stylish lacquered frame, finished with a subtle reddish-brown inner border that gives the piece a calm, architectural presence.

Traditionally, a ranma was installed above sliding doors as a transom panel that lets light and air pass through while elegantly defining a space.
