a wonderful, entirely handcrafted, shaped glass box, with rounded and elliptical sections, embellished with geometric decorations in black, red, and silver leaf, in true art deco style. The box features a large, solid silver knob, stamped 800, depicting a stylized pierrette. The item is unsigned, with only two cartouches oxidized by the passage of time, one with the inscription "130" and the other "xvii." the box is undoubtedly a czechoslovakian "tcheco slovaquie" glass, attributed to the karl palda factory. The object dates back to around 1930. "tcheco slovaquie" glass refers to artistic or decorative glass from czechoslovakia (now the czech republic and slovakia), especially renowned for its optical glass art and art deco pieces.
