The iconic Sciangai coat rack, designed by the design trio Gionathan de Pas, Donato D’Urbino, and Paolo Lomazzi in 1973 for Zanotta.
This piece of furniture is a cornerstone of Italian design, inspired by the Chinese game of chopsticks (Shanghai), from which it takes its name. In 1979, it was awarded the prestigious Compasso d'Oro prize and bears a reference to this award engraved on one of its slats.
It features a foldable structure composed of eight wooden slats that open and close like a fan.
The slats are made of black-stained ash wood.
It is 155 cm tall and has a diameter of approximately 45 cm when open, while when closed, it takes up very little space (approximately 11 cm).
Overall good condition, with some minor signs of use. This piece has an attribution mark,
