HENCE, the long brass bars were utilized in the 1980's-90's to run the cording down walls and to the outlets, while also hiding, the obtrusive wiring and make it an overall, esthetically pleasing., designer decorators sourcing. TODAY, one can input the wall sconces within, the wall with no cording showing, THUS one's electrician can put a junction box behind the brass plates, WHICH ALSO STATE Country of Manufactured Provence, "Made in Spain. There really is no rust, the small wee spotting herald there is above or on top of the lacquer sealing, hence when cleaning and patina i order to protect the brass polished plating. ON ONE OF STHE SCONCES.."THAT is "ONLY," the lacquer sealing which has been removed, by Previous Owners UNAWARE that it is lacquer seal protective sealant, it is not WORN onto metal, and all one need do is remove the lacquer and have it sealed again once it is polished and will patina just like it's partner.
