It has been preserved and reimagined as a lovely piece of Americana folk art, decoupaged on a roughly carved, bright red wooden plaque, with a sawtooth hanging bracket on the back. A crowned female bust nestled in a bunch of grapes celebrates the abundance of California's vineyards in the San Juaquin Valley at the base of the Sierra Nevada foothills, halfway between Sacramento and Los Angeles. Printed by Stecher Traung of San Francisco, it links early 20th-century Bay Area advertising to Central California Agriculture. See less
