This wonderfully vibrant contemporary abstract oil painting "Disequilibrium #6" is from a 2014 series called “Side by Sides.” It is a six-foot-tall oil painting on Heavy Duty Arches Watercolor paper. It’s difficult to capture the depth and richness of the brush strokes and oil paint in photographs but it helps to review the "detail" images.
Mary Alice Copp’s portraiture, landscapes, and abstract works have been shown in many museum and gallery exhibitions around the world. Ten of her “Side by Sides” were acquired and are in Stanford University's Art Collection.
The pieces in this series are intended to be displayed individually or to be grouped in endless combinations. Please see more pieces from this series as well as the images of multiples to inspire countless configurations. These can be used in various environments, be it residential or corporate.
