The frame is surmounted by an openwork decorative crest in the form of a ribbon or wreath, adding sculptural presence and visual balance.

The gilded surface shows an attractive, warm patina with minor wear and small losses consistent with age and use. The mirror plate appears to be a later replacement, fixed with traditional metal retaining pins. The reverse retains a later protective backing board and original hanging ring.

A refined decorative object representative of late 19th-century Central European craftsmanship, suitable for both classical and eclectic interiors.
