This elegant antique Louis Philippe mirror was crafted circa 1870. The rectangular frame features the classic arched top and softly rounded shoulders characteristic of the period, creating a refined yet understated silhouette. The giltwood surface displays a warm, mellow gold patina with subtle tonal variation and gentle wear that enhances its authentic antique character.
A delicate beaded inner molding frames the original mercury glass plate, which exhibits natural foxing and age spotting throughout, adding depth and timeworn charm. The mirror retains its original wood backing and old mounting hardware, further supporting its 19th century construction. It is in excellent antique condition commensurate with age and use, with expected wear to the gilding and desirable age to the glass. Perfect for a small powder room or hallway.
