Add timeless Provençal character to your garden or interior with this pair of handmade French Anduze planters signed La Madeleine à Anduze. Crafted in southern France using traditional techniques, each vessel is formed in terracotta and finished in a rich ochre glaze with soft green drip accents that create a beautifully antiqued appearance.
The classic Anduze silhouette features a gently flared rim above a rounded body raised on a circular plinth base. Raised garland swags with floral rosettes wrap the midsection in relief, framed by incised bands and anchored by medallions inspired by 18th century French garden design. The interiors are natural terracotta and fitted with drainage holes for authentic garden use.
In excellent condition commensurate with age and use, the pair displays natural glaze variation and tonal movement from the firing process, enhancing their artisanal charm.
