A striking figurative work by the legendary LeRoy Neiman. "The Gambler" (1980) moves away from the artist's usual vibrant sports themes into a moody, observational study of the human condition. The etching technique allows for a level of detail and intimacy that is rare in Neiman's larger commercial works. Hand-signed and numbered. Framed in a substantial 36" x 30" wood frame with a high-quality linen mat. Weight: 14 lbs.
The artwork is in excellent vintage condition. The paper is bright with no signs of foxing, water damage, or light staining. The plate mark is deep and crisp. The frame shows very minor shelf wear consistent with age, primarily at the corners, but remains structurally sound and display-ready. The linen mat is clean and free of discoloration.
