1920s Hungarian Art Deco ottoman, newly upholstered in Parisian designer Kari Sajo’s red velvet fabric. This low-profile piece balances a bold, tactile fabric with a refined, industrial-inspired base.
The ottoman has a wide silhouette with a plush, flat top suitable as a footrest or low seat. The deep crimson burnout velvet features a textured, organic pattern resembling rippling water or topographic ridges, creating dynamic light and shadow across the surface. Oak legs have been refinished in a dull silver, chunky block-style, slightly inset to give the upholstered top a modern, floating effect while grounding the piece.
