Beautiful early American art pottery vase by Owens Pottery, dating to the 1910s1920s. This piece features the classic Arts & Crafts / early Art Deco form Owens is known for, with a softly matte glaze in earthy green and brown tones.
Owens Pottery was a pioneering Ohio studio pottery and an important predecessor to Rookwood, founded by J. Franklin Owens, making authentic examples increasingly desirable among American art pottery collectors.
This vase has a strong sculptural presence and displays wonderfully on its own or as part of an Arts & Crafts grouping.
