The … Read more Beautiful vintage Chinese export wooden plate rack with matching lacquered wooden plates, dating to the mid-20th century (circa 1950s–1970s). The stand is made of dark-stained hardwood and is designed to hold the plates upright for display or storage.

The plates are turned hardwood with black lacquered exteriors and warm reddish-brown interiors. The undersides of the plates are hand-marked with Chinese characters, typical of workshop or factory markings from this period. These markings are not modern decals or stamps and add authentic vintage character.

This type of set was commonly produced for export and decorative use and displays beautifully when stacked on the included stand. A great piece of Asian décor suitable for display, dining presentation, or collection.

Condition is good vintage overall, with light surface wear consistent with age and use. Some minor rim wear and small wood shrinkage lines are present, which are normal for turned wooden plates of this age. No major cracks, breaks, or repairs observed. The rack is solid and stable.
