This object is not a simple furnishing accessory, but a true sculpture that testifies to the high craftsmanship of post-war Milan. Tura is known for his use of fine materials and organic shapes, and this basket is one of the most iconic examples. Made of fine walnut, it is entirely hand-carved with a relief pattern typical of Tura/Macabo production. The interior is lacquered in bright red, creating a vibrant color contrast.
