A striking pair of figural firedogs (andirons), executed in wrought iron and designed in the expressive spirit of the Arts & Crafts movement. Each andiron is surmounted by a stylized dragon or serpent head terminal, featuring a bared jaw and deeply carved features that convey a bold, mythic presence. The elongated neck is accentuated by a pronounced rope-twist detail, flowing seamlessly into the horizontal log support.
The sculptural composition is anchored by arched frontal legs terminating in stepped block feet, providing architectural strength and visual balance.
