This classic 10-inch example features six radiating oyster wells encircling a central sauce well, framed by softly scalloped edges. The glaze pools beautifully within the shell relief, creating tonal depth from jade to deep sea green — a hallmark of late 19th to early 20th century French majolica production.

Sarreguemines oyster plates are among the most collected of French majolica forms. Their sculptural dimension and rich glaze make them equally compelling displayed on a wall, styled on open shelving, or used as intended for entertaining.
