Of square form with fluted sides and a thick molded rim, the composition is simple yet substantial, allowing the strong vertical lines to create rhythm and shadow across the surface.
Each planter is cast in heavy stone or early cement, designed to withstand the elements. The exterior retains a beautifully timeworn surface with natural lichen, moss, and mineral staining accumulated over more than a century outdoors. The weathered patina ranges from soft chalky whites to muted gray and earthy tones, giving the pair authentic antique presence and depth.
The interiors show expected age wear and drainage holes remain present in the base. The bottoms feature molded block feet, elevating the planters slightly off the ground for proper water runoff.
These antique Normandy planters are ideal for framing an entry, anchoring a garden path, or softening a stone terrace.
