This has the hard … Read more Beautiful Antique 5-stack sectional lawyers bookcase by Globe-Wernicke of Cincinnati Ohio. Likely from the early 1900's. This has the hard to find drop-front secretary desk section and 2 sections with leaded glass doors. As you can see in the pictures it is solid Quartersawn Tiger Oak throughout and has a nice dark finish with a Mission or Arts and Crafts style to it. The lacquer is still shiny also with some spots of crazing that give it that authentic antique look. It does not appear to have been refinished at any time, its likely a fresh coat of lacquer was applied at one time. There are no broken or missing pieces, and its hard to find any significant marks on it. The 4 bookcase sections have a small notch cut out at the top left back wall, likely so a small cord or wire could go into the bookcase at one time The top, bottom and all storage sections have the Globe-Wernicke label applied to them with tier section name and description. The 2 leaded glass sections are labeled as 8-1/2 and one glass is 10-1/2 and the bottom is 12-1/2. All of the doors move and work properly and the drop front desk top is very sturdy when folded down and has a working lock and key! This is very clean and was in a non-smoking elderly adult's personal home. I have more pictures available. Please let me know if you have any questions.
