This is an exquisitely-handcrafted traditional Indonesian Wayang Kulit shadow puppet. Made of leather, the puppet is perforated so that its intricate designs are revealed when shadows are cast. It is meticulously painted with extraordinary detail.
The puppet's main rod sits in a detachable round wood display base.
This puppet's character is the Goddess Sita.
