Included are five (5) bronze sculpted owls, made in Greece representing the Owl of Athena, a traditional symbol of wisdom … Read more Included are five (5) bronze sculpted owls, made in Greece representing the Owl of Athena, a traditional symbol of wisdom and knowledge in Greek mythology. The flat statues are crafted from bronze alloy and features an aged green oxidation or verdigris patina finish. The two larger ones depict the ows with stylized patterns on their heads and a coin design on their bodies, featuring the helmeted profile of Athena. 
In the city-state of Athens, these owls were protected birds that lived on the Acropolis and were featured on the reverse of Athenian coins, which is reflected in the design of these figurines. 
All five are in near mint condition with the slightest evidence of wear. No damage or repairs.
