Who doesn't love luster?? I DO!!! Pictures just do not do this BEAUTIFUL pitcher from Grimwades, England as much justice as it deserves! I cannot begin to tell you how the iridescent luster glaze gives the surface of this beauty its pearly rainbow-like shimmer!! Add on the gold trim and MWAHH.. chefs kiss!! Sorry, If you don't know about me yet, I LOVE shiny, sparkly things!! Back to this beauty... This is part of the Shakespeare series of porcelain collectibles and featuring characters from Shakespeare's pastoral comedy "As You Like It". This pitcher features Orlando (the brave, chivalrous, tender, modest, smart, strong and handsome) on one side standing tall and mighty. The other side features Celia, devoted dearest friend of Rosalind and the clown Touchstone.
This is a wonderful and thoughtful gift for the Shakespeare lover or collector. Collector of fine English porcelain. Or, someone like me who really loves unique pieces that shimmer and shine!
