Charming small original oil on canvas painting featuring a pastoral river scene with a staffage figure of a fly fisherman on the bank. Although the piece appears to be unsigned, there may be a possible signature on the lower right of the painting that is difficult to see clearly. Newly framed in a handsome, thick, burnished gold frame with a variegated texture that lends a complimentary contrast to the rustic nature of the artwork. Circa 1850-1890. A beautiful piece for a mountain home, cabin or as a gift for the avid fly fisherman!
