Nicely researched by the previous owner with clippings in the envelope on the back. The text under the print reads “ Oliver Cromwell Lord Protector of England, Scotland, France and Ireland and the territories thereunto belonging. Engraved by Charles Turner from the celebrated print by William Faithorne. Published by Samuel Woodbury, 112 St. Martins Lane.” In the far right corner the word “proof.” The text in the cartouche reads “ The emblem of England’s distractions also of her attained and further expected freedom and happiness.” Size: 20.5” h x 15.5” w x 1” d.
