A substantial and exceptionally detailed Thai Buddhist Stupa (Chedi) shrine, featuring the iconic "1,000 Buddhas" motif. The central Buddha is depicted in the meditative Earth Witness (Bhumisparsha) mudra, surrounded by a tiered spire of smaller votive figures.
This piece was acquired through a specialized Asian Art estate sale at the renowned Michaan’s Auctions in Alameda, CA. Unlike modern tourist-grade replicas, this is a heavy, solid-feel cast bronze piece (5.5 lbs) with a complex, naturally aged dark patina and authentic verdigris highlights.
