Add a touch of timeless Japanese elegance to your home with this stunning Arita-ware cabinet plate. This piece is crafted in the classic Kinrande Imari style, famous for its vibrant contrast of cobalt blue, iron-red enamels, and heavy gold leaf. The plate features the traditional Ume (Plum Blossom) motif. In Japanese culture, the plum blossom is a beloved symbol of resilience, hope, and the arrival of spring, as it is the first flower to bloom after winter.
Hand-painted "Fuku" mark on back, which is where the plate was producted in the Arita region of Japan, the birthplace of Japanese porcelain. The Gold Foil Sticker "EW Japan" is the export/importer's label who specialized in bringing Japanese-made porcelain to the US market in the 1950s-60s. Three small hanging holes on the back rim for decorative hanging to display this gorgeous dish.
