A charming hand crafted and painted majolica Italian wall plaque after legendary sculptor Della Robbia (1399-1482). Born in the late 19th / early 20th century.
The circular ceramic plaque detailing throughout, vivid polychrome colored fruit wreath border and a carved central sculpture of the Holy Family in high relief. . The top with a wire for quick and easy wall hanging.
Made in Italy and numbered 103
Given the highly carved details of the fruit wreath this is likely an early example production.
14” round x 2” deep
Condition- age and wear shown with glaze crazing throughout and glaze chip. See last photos of a glaze chip and a ceramic crack repair.
