Steuben Jade Green over Alabaster glass vase No. 5000 featuring acid-etched exotic birds perched on flowering garden branches. This vase comes complete with top and base as shown.
This 1920s-era Art Deco collectible was crafted using the "acid cutback" technique. This process (also known as cameo glass) involved layering colored glass over a base layer, then using acid to etch away the outer layer to reveal the contrasting design underneath.
Produced by Steuben Glass Works in Corning, New York, during the Frederick Carder era, roughly between 1920 and 1932.
