Huge Didier Lapène European Landscape Oil Painting Entitled Point De La Barra depicting The Roman bridge of Córdoba in Spain.
Didier Lapène, born May 20, 1964 in Aureilhan, (Hautes-Pyrénées), lives and works in Biarritz.
1986 to 1992 Studied at the École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts in Paris in the studio of Pierre Carron.
1991 to 1993 Assistant to Guy Peellaert, he participated in the creation of monumental pastels including “Gershwin“ for Alain Resnais.
1994 Resident at the Château de Lourmarin
1996 Resident at the Ferme Saint Siméon, Honfleur
Provenance: It came from the Beverly Hills estate of Sam and Rosette Sam DeLug. Rosette is a famous art collector and the late Sam was an attorney. They hosted many art shows and the home was filled with important artwork, this being the largest and my favorite. The scale is fantastic and the execution is extraordinary.
