This grand extended service set is the 'South Seas' pattern by Oneida of the Community Series. Oneida South Seas is a vintage silverplate flatware pattern known for its mid-century modern design. It features a geometric, ocean-wave motif at the handle base with a mirrored finish above. Introduced in 1955 by Community-Oneida and discontinued in 1965, it's popular among collectors for pairing with Danish Modern table settings. It boasts a design appeal with the seaside-inspired graphics evoke a tropical vibe, often described as fresh and contemporary for its era. In very good to excellent preowned condition with minimal tarnish to the silver plated surface and some wear to the original wooden box.
