This coat rack from France, is made of turned wood, carved with a superb "faux bamboo" effect, with four pegs (hooks.) These kinds of coat racks were commonly found in French bistros in the 50's - 60's.

The carved pegs are fantastic and very useful. Their design will perfectly match the shape of any coat, jacket, or hat, when hung. There are two hooks at the back of the piece, to allow one to affix it to a wall (see photos.)

Piece is in overall good, original and vintage condition, with some light marks, signs of age and previous use commensurate with time, as well as a patina of time, on the overall structure, pegs and back, as can be expected for a piece of this age (see photos). An old mark of use on the bottom edge of the second peg from the left, but nothing that affects its functionality (see photos.)

Piece has only been gently cleaned with flaxseed oil, to preserve its original patina of time.

Both a great looking and useful piece of vintage décor, to compliment any given space, whether placed in an entryway, bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, mudroom, or other space.
