The piece features an ornate hand-carved giltwood crest exhibiting flowers, foilage and a stylized rocaille motif. Red oxidation shows through the beautiful original water gilded patina which makes this piece striking and spectacular. The original beveled mirrored glass shows some spotting and crazing which is typical for its age and only adds to the charm of piece. The mirror is ready to be placed on the wall with a newer wired backing. This 19th Century French Louis XV Wall Mirror with its beautiful giltwood and aged patina will certainly make a statement piece in all interior styles.
