This is a beautiful French olive jar from the Provençal town of Biot, France and features a lovely aged patina. The Alpes-Maritimes region of France has been known as a pottery center from the 18th century to the present. These pots, once used to preserve and transport olive oil, are beautiful standing alone or planted with greenery.
