Original 1808 Copper Engraving: "Bateau de Plaisance à Quanton"
This is an authentic early 19th-century copperplate engraving from Chrétien-Louis-Joseph de Guignes' landmark atlas Voyages à Peking. This specific piece was acquired through Michaan’s Auctions in Alameda, a premier West Coast auction house.

• Subject: A "Flower Boat" or Pleasure Boat in Canton (Guangzhou).
• Artist: De Guignes (fecit) / Desève (direx).
• Size: 16.5” x 10.75”.
• Condition: Excellent antique state on heavy hand-laid paper. Features the original deckled binding edge and Plate No. 25 stamp.
