This refined pair of English Regency urns is executed in cast iron with remnants of an original silvered finish, designed to emulate classical stone and metal prototypes of the early 19th century. Each urn features a crisply molded egg-and-dart rim above a trumpet-flared bowl, transitioning to a compressed gadrooned mid-section and raised on a square plinth base—an architectural profile associated with Regency garden and interior ornament.

The urns retain their original drainage apertures, confirming their intended use as functional planting vessels for terrace, pier, or balustrade placement. The surfaces display richly layered patination, with areas of oxidation and iron exposure consistent with age and early outdoor use.
