The upper portion appears as a rounded, gently inflated bowl-like chamber of smoky, translucent gray glass. The tone deepens toward the shoulder and softens to a faint violet cast at the rim. The form then transitions decisively into a sharply tapered conical base of frosted lavender glass. This lower section is more opaque, with a velvety, matte surface that diffuses light rather than reflecting it.

The clean geometry is emphasized: the disciplined cone rising into the rounded top. From angled perspectives, subtle gradients of gray to violet emerge, and the internal reflections shift, giving the piece a changing character depending on the light.

The base is finished with a polished foot, and the underside bears the engraved signature “Brent S. Greenberg © 1986,” confirming its authenticity and period. See less
