This cabinet is a study in refinement, proportion, and materials. The case is veneered in exceptional flame burl walnut, carefully book-matched across the doors to create a symmetrical, almost mirror-like grain pattern—a hallmark of skilled French ébénisterie. The doors and drawer are framed with precise geometric marquetry banding, executed in contrasting satinwood or fruitwood, reflecting the disciplined neoclassical aesthetic of the Louis XVI revival.
The cabinet is crowned with a spectacular original Breccia marble top, notable for its bold, painterly composition of cream, charcoal, taupe, and warm earth tones.
