A refined and highly characteristic photo frame by Gabriella Crespi, dating to the 1970s and exemplifying her sophisticated use of luxurious materials and clean architectural lines.
The rectangular frame is composed of a striking combination of silvered metal and tortoiseshell veneer. A broad outer border of richly mottled tortoiseshell—alive with warm amber, caramel and deep brown tones—is framed by a sleek silvered surround. The inner aperture is similarly edged in silvered metal, creating a subtle layered effect that adds depth and definition to the design.
