designed by verner panton in 1973, the system 1-2-3 is a revolutionary, versatile collection of lounge and dining chairs characterized by a distinctive, flowing s-shaped, cantilevered, and upholstered structure. Combining ergonomic comfort with a sculptural, 360-degree swivel aesthetic, the chairs were designed to appear as if they "grow up out of the floor," providing a functional, modern pop-art look.
