Fine Chinese Doucai porcelain ewer (jug/pitcher) with it's cover. A most attractive early Ming form hand painted with a wrap-around scene of two opposing and eye catching red dragons. Multi coloured floral designs fill the rest of the body, spout, handle and cover with a green acanthus leaf border at the top of the neck.
Pieces with the Doucai style of decoration are among the finest and most sought after Chinese porcelain.
Condition is excellent.
The underside bears the Qianlong reign mark in blue.
Age: Mid 20th. Century.
