A super fine exemplar of Robert Mapplethorpe's "Calla Lily" Charger 12" by Swid Powell (1984).
This beautiful and fascinating plate is a well established classic of 1980s design. It memorializes a central series of the iconic Robert Mapplethorpe on a porcelain charger by the leading arbiter of 1980s porcelain design in America, Swid Powell. There are two other Exotic Flowers in the collaborative series of Mapplethorpe and Swid Powell.
