Deep set … Read more 19th Century Victorian Portrait of Woman in Coved Wood and Gesso Gilt Frame. Oval Portrait of older woman. Deep set cove frame with large cast corner ornaments. Alligatored surface on the inside on the frame. Painting appears to be on canvas mounted to board. No signature to be found on frame nor painting. In fair condition with wear conducive with age. Chips along the gesso and superficial tension cracks on the interior of frame. Repairs to the gesso at the top of the frame. Please refer to pictures for details. Painting is in good condition with wear conducive with age. This piece is extremely heavy so local pickup only. Any shipment would need to be scheduled by the buyer. If picking up locally make sure there are two people to help carry it out.
