It is a large Swedish elk skull and bone taxidermy piece of artwork mounted on a large wooden oak plaque. Not only is the plaque sturdy and easy to mount, but it gives a nice contrast in color agains the white of the skull. The antlers are 100% naturally worn which gives them that classic, rustic look. And the skull has been professionally cleaned. It was a family treasure with original hand written text on the back of the plaque which reads, "Skjuten 1985 ov Folke Varg uid Nedre Kompmossen Donald var med och drog fram denna àlg" and translates roughly to say that "This elk was shot in 1985" and it notes the name and location in Sweden.
